Counting mitzvot
One mitzvah for every second of Torah you actually watch. Paused, buffering and skipped time do not count, and neither does anything playing while the app is in the background.
The count reflects the Chofetz Chaim’s teaching that every word of Torah learned is its own mitzvah. It is meant as encouragement, not a reckoning. The milestones worth marking are 18, 36, 180 and 613.
The count lives on your device and nowhere else. No account, no server, no leaderboard, and nothing to compare against anyone. Clearing your browser data clears it.
