אַךְ מַה מְּאֹד צָּרִיךְ לְהִזָּהֵר בַּהֶתֵּר הַזֶּה, שֶׁלֹּא יַחְסְרוּ בּוֹ כָּל הפְּרָטִים הנַּ"ל בִּתְחִלַּת הַסִימָן, כִּי אִם לֹא יִזָּהֵר בִּשְׁמִירָה יְתֵרָה, בְּקַל יוּכַל לְהִלָּכֵד בְּפַח הַיֵּצֶּר וְלִהְיוֹת מִבַּעֲלֵי לָשׁוֹן הָרָע דְּאוֹרַיְתָא עַל יְדֵי הַהֶתֵּר הַנַּ"ל. ומִטַּעַם זֶה אֶחְזֹר בְּכָאן בְּפֵרוּשׁ כָּל הַפְּרָטִים הַנַּ"ל וּבִמְעַט נֹפֶךְ, כְּלָלָן שֶׁל דְּבָרִים בְּקִצּוּר כָּךְ הוּא, (לו) אַחַר שֶׁיָּדַע, שֶׁחֲבֵרוֹ לֹא שָׁב עֲדַיִן מֵהָעִנְיָן הַהוּא הַנַּ"ל, וְהוּא מְכַוֵּן לְתוֹעֶלֶת, כַּאֲשֶׁר בֵּאַרְנוּ, מֻתּר לְסַפֵּר, אַךְ בְּאֹפֶן שֶׁלֹּא יַחְסְרוּ אֵלּוּ הַפְּרָטִים:
But how careful must one be that all of the aforementioned conditions not be lacking. For if he is not especially careful, he can easily fall into the snare of the evil inclination and become one of the "men of lashon hara" according to the Torah by means of this heter. And because of this I shall review here explicitly all of the aforementioned conditions, a little expanded. In sum: After he knows that his friend has not yet repented of this thing, and that his [own] intent is "benefit," as we have explained, it is permitted to tell — but only if the following conditions are not lacking:
